9-17-15 (Day 1)

I've decided I really want to try and get healthy (right before the holidays... haha!)

It's been on my mind a lot, and I've tried many times before, but I'm hoping that this time will be different. One thing I'm going to do differently is this. I want to write my experience in the hopes that it gives me a little bit more accountability.

I've been seeing some old friends who have really worked hard and have had success changing their eating habits and exercise habits. I'm going to try to tune into positive blogs that talk about their experiences and work hard on what I need to do.

So today was day 1. And on day 1 I ran. I spent about 34 minutes working out. 9 of those minutes were running. Altogether it was about 1.90 miles. I felt really good afterwards (until I came home and had to do the bills - ugh!)

I think a huge part of this will be learning how to manage my stress on a day-to-day basis. It is a really busy and difficult time of year at work. There is a lot of work to be done - but I'm hoping that I can stay grounded by being a little bit more kind to myself & taking time as I need it.
